Self Study Reports

For Becoming Accredited

The CoAEMSP has the Letter of Review (LoR) process, which is the official designation that a Paramedic program is in the “Becoming Accredited” process.  Read the complete information about Letter of Review on that webpage.

All new programs will follow the same pathway to enter the accreditation system:

Submit the LSSR-2015, along with appropriate fees (i.e., the first CoAEMSP annual fee [prorated by month of LSSR submission], evaluation fee, technology fee). Visit the Fees page for the LSSR Invoice Request Form and information regarding all CoAEMSP Fees. Supplemental LSSR appendices forms are available below should they be needed.

An important step in this process is the early formation of an Advisory Committee to guide the program in its development.

Prepare all your documents carefully and completely before submission.  If documents are rejected or incomplete, you will need to re-work and re-submit those documents.  Additional Self Study Report Evaluation fees may apply for EACH re-submission.

For Initial Accreditation

After a program receives the LoR, the program will complete the Initial Accreditation Self Study Report (ISSR). The ISSR is due no later than 6 months after graduation of that class of students that was first enrolled after the date of issue of the LoR.

Transition Note: All programs with an ISSR due date on July 1, 2016 or later must submit the ISSR-2015 (Standards) format. The ISSR-2005 format will NOT be accepted as of July 1, 2016.

 

The program will submit along with
the ISSR-2015 the appropriate fees (i.e., evaluation and site visit). CoAEMSP will notify the program if there are exceptions to the flat site visit fee requiring additional payment. Supplemental ISSR appendices forms are available below should they be needed.

For Reaccreditation

Accredited programs will be notified by the CoAEMSP Executive Office approximately 6 months prior to the due date of the self study report.

Transition Note: All programs with a CSSR due date on July 1, 2016 or later must submit the CSSR-2015 (Standards) format. The CSSR-2005 format will NOT be accepted after July 1, 2016.

 

The program will submit along with the CSSR-2015 the appropriate fees (i.e., evaluation and site visit). CoAEMSP will notify the program if there are exceptions to the flat site visit fee requiring additional payment. Supplemental CSSR appendices forms are available below should they be needed.

New Programs Must Complete a Request for Self Study Fees Invoice

All new programs must complete and submit this Request Form before payments can be accepted.
